SCARECROW FESTIVAL
The most exciting (and/or strangest) thing is the day of our wedding September 27th is the first day of the Scarecrow Festival in Old Wethersfield. On Main Street in Old Wethersfield both sides of the street will be displaying Scarecrows made by local residents.

WEBB-DEANE-STEVENS MUSEUMS
This is where we are getting married, but during the rest of the year it is a museum. One of the houses was George Washingtons Headquarters in 1781 and another was also the headquarters of the French General Rochambeau. Silas Dean, who the house was named after, was at the first Continental Congress and along with Benjamin Franklin was the ambassador to France. So go and check out this place before the ceremony so you can bask in history and then join us later to help us make some more history there.
